This 10-day motorbike tour from Hanoi covers the main riding routes across northern Vietnam in a single loop, around 1,200 kilometers in total. The route runs through Mai Chau, Mu Cang Chai, Than Uyen, Sapa, and Bac Ha, then into Ha Giang and the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark, before returning via Bao Lac, Ba Be Lake, and Thac Ba Lake. It combines paved mountain roads with off-road tracks and suits riders at different skill levels. Riders pass through villages of the H’mong, Dao, Tay, and other northern ethnic groups at market stops and overnight stays. The itinerary is adjustable based on riding experience.
Tour highlights:

Day 10: 180 km
Enjoy the breakfast and take a ride back to the capital city, arrive and end the 11 days motorbike holiday around the amazing North Vietnam.
I can suggest you a few motorbikes, all of them are perfect for this 10 day Hanoi to Halong Bay by motorbike in northern Vietnam.
To be honest, i have ride this tour at any time of the year and i dont see any reason to not to recommend it at any specific season.
Technically, the best time to ride is from late October to early April when the weather is cooler, with little rain. if you ride during the summer time (rainy season), you can expect a few hours of rain everyday. No monsoon, no typhoon and no flash-floods at all.
I recommend bringing your own jacket, gloves, and boots for fit and comfort over 11 days.
